Wear It Purple Day Celebration

Join us for A Wear it Purple Day Celebration for queer youth and allies!

Join Libraries ACT and Capital Region Community Services on Friday 30th August for an afternoon celebrating acceptance and promoting our community through positive visibility.

We have a range of activities happening over the afternoon and early evening – come for one or all of them! All events are FREE.

2 pm Meet at Belconnen Youth Centre (BYC) to get dressed up and made up – bring your own fabulous outfits or use some accessories supplied by BYC. BYC will also supply make up.

3 pm Walk with your new and old friends from the Youth Centre down to Belconnen Library.

3:15 pm to 4:30 pm Watch local drag performers on the forecourt outside the library before coming inside to listen to local queer authors talk about their writing. There will also be snacks!

4:30 pm to 7:30 pm Return to BYC for food and a disco!
