PANIA
Despite being in the infant stages of her career, Pania’s vision has always been global. Raised in the cultural melting pot of West Melbourne, she drew inspiration from her Maori and Indian heritage, fusing it with a fiery desire to achieve bigger things. PANIA kicked off 2023 with a bang, supporting Kehlani and releasing ‘PSTANDS4PLAYA’ & ‘2Sides (freestyle)’. This follows her breakout year in 2022, marked by her single ‘tiki’, praised by VICE as “a tantalising mix of culture, sound and aesthetic”, which cemented her place as a frontrunner in Australia’s R&B scene, followed by ‘LETHIM4ALL’ and ‘MYCREW’, a Top 10 hit in New Zealand. Collaborating with Hamley, PANIA’s debut EP ‘burnt ur clothes & changed the addy’ tackles the ups and downs of young adulthood with self-aware and fundamentally human themes, solidifying her as a global breakout artist. PANIA’s star power has been recognized by media, industry, and fans alike, leading to features in campaigns, sold-out shows, and plans for overseas writing trips while continuing to release a steady stream of music.
