Sweet School Holiday Fun

Indooroopilly Shopping Centre is inviting your little bakers to embark on the sweetest adventure these school holidays at Indro Bakehouse, where creativity and play come together in the most delicious way.

Indro Bakehouse encourages kids to ignite their inner culinary artistry in an educational, engaging and fun-filled space. Each 20 minute workshop invites 6 mini bakers into Indro Bakehouse where they will put on their apron and chef’s hat, and be guided by our Bakehouse facilitators to learn about food safety, practice new skills and unleash their creativity while creating a sweet treat to take home and enjoy!

Week 1: Donut Decorating (Saturday 14 - Sunday 22 September)
Thanks to Donut King, each young baker will start with a plain donut and transform it into a colourful masterpiece using a variety of frostings and toppings. Kids will learn to mix colours, spread icing, and experiment with creative decorations. And of course, they’ll get to taste their delicious creation!

Week 2: Dessert Kebabs (GF) (Monday 23 - Sunday 29 September)
This week features fruity Dessert Kebabs! Kids will cut and arrange a selection of fruits and marshmallows onto skewers, finishing with a drizzle of chocolate and sprinkle on top. They'll learn knife safety, practice cutting skills, and perfect the art of skewer threading.

Don’t forget to also explore our Bakehouse Sweet Play Zone for lots of laughter and excitement. Slide into our marshmallow cloud ball pit, toss the donut ring and play connect four lolly-style.

Visit Indro Bakehouse from 10:00am to 3:00pm from Saturday, 14 September to Sunday, 29 September, by making a free booking or walking in. Please note, bookings are for the Bakehouse workshops only and do not automatically provide entry to the Sweet Play Zone. Sweet Play Zone is walk-in only.
