Discover the hidden world of nocturnal creatures in Owl Prowl.
As the sun sets and darkness falls, the creatures of the night awaken. Who are these mysterious nocturnal neighbours and what are they up to?
From silent hunters like owls seeking prey to bustling geckos and microbats feasting on insects, a vibrant nocturnal ecosystem awaits. Remember, while you sleep, the world around you is wide awake!
In this workshop, participants will:
- Identify nocturnal visitors to the garden.
- Explore the nighttime habits of owls and dissect owl pellets to uncover more about their diet.
- Utilise various tools to document and identify prey.
- Learn practical steps to support the well-being of nocturnal wildlife in the neighbourhood.
Don't forget to bring an old shirt to protect your clothes while investigating the owl pellet.
Drop and leave program, developed for children aged 8 to 12 years.
