Opera in the Pub - Drinking Songs

Opera . . . in a pub? You heard right! Opera Bites brings best-loved opera hits to the relaxed atmosphere of your local pub.

Opera Bites has partnered with The Harold in Glebe to bring you the world’s favourite opera highlights in the relaxed environs of a great local pub.

Tickets include a 90-minute, fully costumed show, upstairs at The Harold. Show starts 7.30pm. Fabulous food and drinks available for separate purchase at the venue. HAPPY HOUR from 5-7pm. All day kitchen open till 10pm for pre-, mid- or post-show dining.

Drinking Songs: From rustic inns to effervescent and glamourous parties, the world of opera is full of drinking songs! Although, often when we’re singing about drinking in opera, we’re actually singing about something else entirely – love, loss, revenge, loneliness, having a bit of fun or a good time. What better place, therefore, to explore these catchy tunes than the pub! Come and join in your favourite drinking songs from La traviata, Carmen, Die Fledermaus and more. Fully costumed and presented in Opera Bites’ inimitable style.
