The acclaimed expat Danish jazz guitarist and composer and his esteemed quartet explores the music of the legendary American guitarist and Blue Note recording artist, Grant Green. The quartet honours Green and his exceptional sense of melody and groove in modern explorations of his hardbop and modal repertoire from the 60s at Perth's premier jazz venue.
Kristian himself has been praised for his sense of tasteful melody and colorful harmony and has like Green become known for his captivating bebop lines. He has numerous albums to his name with his acclaimed quartet, the latest, Out of Nowhere, was album of the week ABC Jazz Australia. Kristian earned his reputation as an outstanding guitarist and improviser on the London scene and has performed worldwide in clubs and at festivals. He has performed with names such as Archie Sheep, Will Vinson, Steve Barry and Fabian Almazan and is bringing a stellar team of some of Australia’s finest players in his quartet.
