The Gold Coast SUNS will return to the Top End to take on Geelong Cats at TIO Stadium in Darwin on Thursday 16 May, as part of the celebrated Sir Doug Nicholls Round, which recognises the AFL’s Indigenous players.

The Northern Territory has produced some of the game’s most skilled Indigenous players.

Travelling footy fans can time their trip with the Northern Territory’s largest music festival, BASSINTHEGRASS, which recently announced a stellar line-up including Macklemore, Bag Raiders, Jet, King Stingray, Middle Kids, Jungle Giants, VASSY, What So Not, Young Franco and Ziggy Alberts. Beyond BASSINTHEGRASS, visitors can enjoy Darwin’s tropical weather and access to incredible daytrips including swimming in waterfalls at Litchfield National Park or being immersed in the world’s oldest living continuous culture on the Tiwi Islands.

The AFL games, supported by Northern Territory Major Events Company, are part of the Northern Territory Government’s commitment to bringing elite sport to the Territory.

Ticketing information for the 2024 Toyota AFL Premiership Season will be available in early 2024.

Please note this is an event listing only. Official tickets must be purchased at Australian Football League's website.
