Film Screening - Huang Wenxiu

Directed by Miao Yue and starring Lang Yueting, Tao Hai and Zhang Zhengyong, the film based on the inspirational figure of China of 2019, tells the touching story of the sunny and pretty Zhuang ethnic girl Huang Wenxiu.

Huang returned to her hometown after graduation with Master Degree from Beijing Normal University, and passionately devoted herself to the frontline of poverty alleviation. By assisting villagers in boosting confidence, scientific cultivation, relocation to suitable areas and education, she has brought hope to the future development of the rural era and won the affection of everyone.

Unfortunately, on a rainy night, Huang Wenxiu tragically sacrificed herself in a mountain flood on her way back to her village for disaster relief, only at the young age of 29. Her radiant and sunny figure, strong will and unwavering belief have inspired everyone to keep going.
