“You gotta mean it, and you gotta treat it gentle. Music is the thing that brings you to everything else”, according to the late New Orleans legend Sidney Bechet. He’s the inspiration for this superb band led by Phil Hatton. Along with Steve Searle on reeds, Kim Anning on guitar, Mal Mah (Bass) and Dave Gryl (Drums) they play music composed by and inspired by Bechet. They mean it, they treat it gentle, and the music brings you to everything else.
