A Story Dogs Christmas Tail At Southern River

Come down to Southern River Shopping Centre to meet Ziggy and Teddy Bear, and their wonderful handlers.

Story Dogs is a national reading support program where teachers select children to read to an accredited dog and its handler. Our mission is to make reading fun for children so they become confident, lifelong readers. We create a safe and relaxed atmosphere to help children enjoy reading. We have over 600 Dog Teams visiting almost 400 schools across Australia who help over 3,000 children each week.

We have been invited to visit Southern River Shopping Centre (corner of Ranford Road and Bristle Road) on Saturday 9th December. We will be situated in the Play Area and will run two Story Sessions with a limit of 15 children in each session. A parent or Guardian must stay with the child during the session.

Sessions are aimed at Junior Primary age students and will run for 30 minutes.
Session 1 : 9.30-10.00am
Session 2 : 10.15-10.45am

Near the end of the session the children, should they wish to, will be able to pat the dogs.
