Twilight Concert at the Bay

Enjoy a balmy summer evening at the lake – flute and strings play classics from the chamber music repertoire. For three players, there is Haydn’s String trio in G major, HOB XI: no.124, and his London Trio for flute, violin and cello HOB 1V: no.1. Then still for three players, Beethoven’s Serenade for flute, violin and viola is an unusual but stylish combination. Putting flute with all three string players, we also perform Mozart’s sunny D Major Flute Quartet. Mingled with the classics are favourites of Saint Saens’ “The Swan”, Massenet’s “Meditation” & Gardel’s tango “Por Una Cabeza”.
