Snakadaktal

Snakadaktal was formed in early 2010, when five school friends (Sean, Barna, Joseph, Phoebe and Jarrah) joined together and began experimenting and exploring with blends and variations of dreamy pop.

After beginning to write their own unique songs, they began to play their already mature and furnished style of music at school and party events. Extensive applause and compliments from these first performances, gave Snakadaktal the confidence and motivation they needed to raise their song writing and performing to the next level. At this point, Snakadaktal began to bring their dreamy dance music and entertaining live experiences to stages around the Melbourne city.

Late 2010 brought Snakadaktal on to the local Melbourne music scene. Here they started with playing small support acts, in venues such as The Toff in Town, Ding Dong Lounge, John Curtin, and The Workers Club. Snakadaktal’s talent in these simple and enjoyable performances, immediately caught the eyes of other venues, other bands and event organisers. As a result of this, soon they were supporting well renowned local acts such as Northeast Party House, RedBerryPlum, Strange Talk and Red Ink, while also supporting well-known national acts such as Sydney producers Canyons. With performance experience and musical maturity beyond their years, Snakadaktal also headlined their own shows in Melbourne, drawing large crowds and again drawing applause from all who came and heard.

After their many live performances, requests for Snakadaktal to release recordings of their new and loved songs became un-ignorable. As the only digital recording released so far was a fairly early recording of the song ‘Air’, Snakadaktal decided it was time to record a six track EP to satisfy the demands of their adoring fans. - Facebook
